| In just two years at Penn State, Maybin illustrated the type of raw ability, upside, and powerful intangibles that scouts and general managers love to see. With excellent technique and deceptive strength, Maybin is a force rushing off the edge, as his leverage, brute strength, and agility allow him to blow past most tackles and blockers. Physically, Maybin has yet to reach his ceiling, and his frame and physique could fill out with more muscle at the next level. The fact that he's been this productive already and still is in the developmental stages physically speaks to his immense upside. Maybin uses his hands well on blockers while maintaining good position and balance en route to the quarterback. From a pure pass-rushing standpoint, there are few players in the draft who can match Maybin's knack for pressuring the pocket. Maybin is a bit of a work in progress and may need a year or two before he unleashes his dominant assortment of tools on NFL quarterbacks with regularity. When that time comes though, Maybin will be a physical force. |
