| A physically imposing run-stuffer off the edge, Jackson has excellent hands, balance, and power for a defensive end of his stature, traits which make him a handful for any lone blocker to handle. He wraps up well, has dependable awareness in all defensive schemes, and was an extremely durable player while at LSU, showing adequate agility for such a big-bodied end. Jackson shows the ability to win most isolated battles in space, as his pure size and strength are top-notch for the position. Because of his bulk, Jackson does not have ideal speed for an edge rusher, and his motor and consistency have sometimes been questioned as less than consistent. He'll need to shed the reputation that he takes plays off. Jackson has rare run-stopping abilities for an end, however, and brings a level of toughness, versatility and bulk off the corner that is unmatched by many in his draft class. |
