He threw two interceptions, fumbled once and was sacked two times. Fitzpatrick added 35 rushing yards on eight carries.
Analysis: Despite the turnovers, Fitzpatrick has already been named the starter again in Week 12 against the Giants.
|Nov. 4, 2018 1:05 PM PT2:05 PM MT3:05 PM CT4:05 PM ET21:05 GMT5:05 2:05 PM MST3:05 PM CST4:05 PM EST3:05 PM CT1:05 UAE (+1)16:05 ETNaN: - Ryan Fitzpatrick was 24 of 40 for 243 yards and threw four touchdown passes Sunday in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 42-28 loss to the Carolina Panthers. He threw two interceptions, didn't fumble and was sacked three times. Fitzpatrick added 23 rushing yards on five carries.
Analysis: Fitzpatrick's two picks proved costly, but the up-and-down veteran moved the offense well enough that Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said he'll start again against the Redskins next week. Jameis Winston owners should still remain on standby, however.
|Oct. 29, 2018 6:42 PM PT7:42 PM MT8:42 PM CT9:42 PM ET1:42 GMT9:42 6:42 PM MST7:42 PM CST8:42 PM EST7:42 PM CT5:42 UAE (+1)21:42 ETNaN: - Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter announced Fitzpatrick will start at quarterback for this week's game at Carolina.
Analysis: This was the expected result after Fitzpatrick replaced a face-planting Jameis Winston and briefly led the Bucs back from an 18-point deficit in Sunday's 37-34 loss at Cincinnati. Though the 35-year-old was awful in the last of his four starts this season, he threw for over 400 yards and at least three touchdowns in each of the first three.
|Oct. 28, 2018 1:28 PM PT2:28 PM MT3:28 PM CT4:28 PM ET20:28 GMT4:28 1:28 PM MST2:28 PM CST3:28 PM EST2:28 PM CT0:28 UAE (+1)16:28 ETNaN: - Ryan Fitzpatrick was 11 of 15 for 194 yards and threw two touchdown passes Sunday in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 37-34 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He did not throw an interception, didn't fumble and was sacked one time. Fitzpatrick added 18 rushing yards on one carry.
Analysis: With the Bucs down 34-16 late in the third quarter, the veteran replaced a woefully ineffective Jameis Winston and produced some "FitzMagic" by rallying his team to 18 straight points. The 35-year-old may still not be a long-term answer, but he's looking like Tampa Bay's best option for next week's key game at Carolina.
|Oct. 1, 2018 6:13 PM PT7:13 PM MT8:13 PM CT9:13 PM ET1:13 GMT9:13 6:13 PM MST7:13 PM CST8:13 PM EST8:13 PM CT5:13 UAE (+1)21:13 ETNaN: - Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter announced that Jameis Winston will replace Fitzpatrick as the team's starting quarterback following this week's bye.
Analysis: The magic wasn't going to last forever, as Fitzpatrick came back down to earth in Sunday's lopsided loss to the Bears after opening the season with three straight 400-yard games. The 35-year-old may be worth holding onto on the chance that Winston gets hurt or suspended again, but cut him loose if you need the roster spot.

Analysis: The 35-year-old won two of three starts in place of an injured Jameis Winston last season and finished his 13th NFL campaign with 1,103 passing yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions. Fitzpatrick's days as a quality starter are behind him now, but he's still a capable backup.
